The 5th Saturday Sing holds a concert on the 5th Saturday of every month that has 5 Saturdays. It began several years ago to help grow and support Southern Gospel Music in the area of Bakersfield, CA and Kern County. Bakersfield is known for its rich musical history in Country Music and Gospel Music. Each concert is presented free of charge only taking a free-will offering to help support the guest artists who perform. Today, the 5th Saturday Sing represents Southern Gospel Music by continued support through concerts with independent artists, artists a part of the Western States Gospel Music Association (WSGMA) and nationally known artists. To keep Southern Gospel Music active and alive in this area, we must be representative of both Music & Ministry.
